Buyer Qualifications and Credentialing
At JIS, safeguarding the security and exclusivity of our events tailored for jewelry trade professionals is paramount. To uphold these standards, we kindly request our attendees to provide qualification documents, allowing us to authenticate their status as industry buyers. This measure in the registration process is instrumental in guaranteeing a valuable experience for all participants. Your cooperation in adhering to these buyer qualification protocols is sincerely appreciated. A member from our Qualifications Team will reach out with instructions on how to submit your documentation after you’ve completed your registration.
- Every edition of the event requires a fresh registration. Even if you've participated in previous shows, you must register for a new badge for the upcoming event.
- Buyers must be active retailers of jewelry or wholesalers of finished jewelry.
- Manufacturers, manufacturer sales reps, loose diamond and stone dealers will not be admitted as buyers but can purchase a special access badge during the registration process.
- Receipt of JIS literature or an exhibitor invitation does not constitute admission unless the buyer credentialing requirements are completely met and approved.
- Upon request, the spouse of the primary contact can be permitted entry with government issued photo identification proving affiliation by last name or address.
- No children allowed under 14 years of age.
If you have been approved to attend a JIS Show within the past two years, you will be automatically approved.*
* You will be asked to submit additional information if:
- This is your first time attending.
- Your company has changed.
- You do not meet the below qualifications.

Special Accommodations for Pawnbrokers
If you are not listed with the JBT or unable to provide invoices that show buying jewelry at wholesale levels, we need to verify the existence of retail jewelry sales that take place at the pawn shop in question. This could entail photos of the store showing the jewelry section, purchase receipt for a safe, or purchase receipt of showcases.
Attendees registering under company are still required to show proof of employment/affiliation. See the attendee credentialing requirements above.
